 Gulf Defense & Aerospace Welcome to the Second Edition of Gulf Defense & Aerospace - Kuwait International tri-service defense Exhibition and Conference dedicated to Defense, Aerospace, Homeland Security and Safety & Security, being held under the official patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah – First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Kuwait Ministry of Defense. Gulf States to spend $65 billion on defense in 2011. The specialist defense market intelligence firm, “Forecast International”, projects that in 2010 the GCC states (Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Oman & Bahrain) will invest $63 billion in defense and security spending and that this figure will increase in 2011 to $65 billion. To confirm these estimates, the offset specialist, Blenheim Capital Partners, estimates that the GCC states will spend in excess of $105 billion in the next two years.
