The third Annual International Exhibition for Windows, Doors & Facades

Kazakhstan is located in Central Asia and is the 9th largest country in the world. It occupies more land than Western Europe, and is the business center of 56 million Central Asians. It is immensely rich in natural resources particularly oil & gas. Oil production in 2006 is estimated at 1.3 million barrels per day (bpd), and is over 3 million bpd before 2020.

Due to its vast oil resources and liberal economic policies, since 2000, the economy has been growing at more than 9% per year, which means that it has been growing faster than Russia and as been the fastest growing economy in the CIS for the last 3 years.

In addition, the local currency has been stable for mare than five years, inflation is less unemployment is about 8%, government tax revenues are increasing, gold and are almost US$ 9 billion and the new National Fund established to handle the surplus oil tax revenues has a current balance in excess of US$3 billion. Foreign trade for 2006 is estimated to continue to grow at an annual rate of about 20% with imports projected to grow to US$13 billion/year and exports to US$22 billion/year.

Kazakhstan is a member of the five-country Eurasia Economic Community, along with Belarus, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan, and together with Russia has applied for WTO membership which it hopes to achieve in 2006.


The Market for Windows, Doors & Facades
The volume of construction work and services in Kazakhstan grew 14.3% year-on-year to an estimated 288.3 billion tenge in the first nine months of 2003 (148.93 tenge/$1 at end of September), the National Statistics Agency reported. Private domestic construction organizations accounted for 71.3% for this, foreign companies for 27.3% and state construction organizations 1.4%.

Kazakhstan built 10,340 buildings with combined area of 2.0532 million square meters in the first nine months of 2003, including 8,776 residential buildings with 1.4482 million square meters of floor space.

Investment in housing construction jumped 44.4% year-on-year to 31.8 billion tenge in the first nine months of 2003. Companies (government and private) and households built 11,515 new apartments with total area of 1.3868 million square meters, 24.3% more year-on-year.

Housing in Kazakhstan is built primarily by the private sector and financed mostly by households: respectively 94% and 76% of the total.

Advertising Program

The key to success in any exhibition is for exhibitors meet the right people. To make sure that the right people attend, we will organize a comprehensive national and regional advertising campaign. This campaign includes:

- 10,000 direct mail of free invitations to buyers in Central Asia;

- Print advertising in national newspapers in Central Asia;

- Print advertising in all Central Asian trade magazines;

- National and local TV advertising in Kazakhstan;

- Regional radio advertising throughout Kazakhstan;

- Telemarketing campaign to targeted VIP guests;

- To ensure a qualified business audience, admission to the exhibition by children under 16 is not permitted, and visitors without free invitation cards must pay an admission fee.
